Player Commands

This page lists verified typed commands for Mazes and Monsters players. Command words are not case sensitive.

Many NPC interactions are also available through in-game right-click context menus, so you can use the menu instead of typing those NPC commands manually.

Type conference commands while in conference. Type in-game commands after entering the game world.

Words in brackets show optional or alternate input. Replace names such as NAME, [item], NPCNAME, and SUMMON with the player, item, NPC, or summon you mean.

Command Purpose Notes
/STATS Shows your active character's information while in conference. Requires an active character.
/PAGE NAME [, message] Pages another player, optionally with a short message. Use a player name after the command.
/PASSWORD NEWPASSWORD Changes your account password. Use one word for the new password.
/RENAME NEWNAME Renames your active character. Requires an active character.
Command Purpose Notes
N / NORTH Moves north.
NE / NORTHEAST Moves northeast.
E / EAST Moves east.
SE / SOUTHEAST Moves southeast.
S / SOUTH Moves south.
SW / SOUTHWEST Moves southwest.
W / WEST Moves west.
NW / NORTHWEST Moves northwest.
U / UP Moves up where available.
D / DOWN Moves down where available.
CLIMB UP Climbs up where available.
CLIMB DOWN Climbs down where available.
SWIM [direction] Swims in water, swims in a direction, or refreshes your drowning/sinking state while in water. Use a direction when you want to swim that way.
Command Purpose Notes
EXIT Leaves the game world.
SEARCH [direction] Searches in a direction.
LOOT Searches visible corpses at your location.
DRINK Drinks the first bottle found in your hands or sack.
REST Cancels a warmed spell or an active spell such as Peek.
UNHIDE Reveals your character from hiding.
SWAP Swaps held items between hands.
USERS Lists users in the current area.

SHOW STATS Shows your character's stats.

FIGHT / F Attacks a target.
JUMPKICK Performs a jump kick attack.
NOCK / LOAD Prepares a ranged weapon.
SHOOT Fires a ranged weapon at a target.
THROW Throws an item.
CAST / C Casts a spell.
WARM / W Warms a spell.
Command Purpose Notes
PARTY CREATE NAME Creates a party.
PARTY JOIN NAME Joins a party.
PARTY LEAVE Leaves your party.
PARTY LIST Lists party members.
PARTY DISBAND Disbands your party.

Use NPCNAME, COMMAND … as the default format for typed NPC commands. For example, type the NPC name first, then a comma, then the command.

Command-first input such as COMMAND NPCNAME is also accepted as an alternative.

NPCNAME, BUY [ALL \| quantity] [item] Buys from an NPC.
NPCNAME, SELL [item] Sells to an NPC.
NPCNAME, APPRAISE [item] Asks an NPC to appraise an item.
NPCNAME, DEPOSIT Deposits gold with a banker.
NPCNAME, WITHDRAW [amount \| ALL] Withdraws gold from a banker.
NPCNAME, BALANCE / NPCNAME, SHOW BALANCE Checks your bank balance.
NPCNAME, TRAIN [amount \| ALL] Trains with an NPC.
NPCNAME, TEACH [spell] Learns a spell from an NPC.
NPCNAME, CRITIQUE [skill] Asks for skill feedback.
NPCNAME, ENGRAVE [item] Asks an NPC to engrave an item.

Replace SUMMON with 1, 2, 3, or ALL.

SUMMON FOLLOW / SUMMON F Orders a summon to follow.
SUMMON STOP Orders a summon to stop.
SUMMON BEGONE / SUMMON B / SUMMON RELEASE Dismisses a summon.
SUMMON ATTACK / SUMMON A / SUMMON KILL Orders a summon to attack.
SUMMON MELEE / SUMMON M Orders a summon to melee attack.
SUMMON COME Orders a summon to come to you.
SUMMON UP / SUMMON DOWN Moves a summon up or down.
SUMMON [direction] Moves a summon in a direction. Use a normal direction command after the summon target.

ACT “text” Performs a custom emote.
ANGRY, APPLAUD, BEAM, BLUSH, BURP, CONFUSED, CRY, EVILGRIN, FROWN, GASP, GIGGLE, GLOWER, GRIMACE, GRIN, GROAN, GRUMBLE, JUMP, LAUGH, MUMBLE, MUTTER, NOD, PANT, POUT, SALUTE, SCREAM, SHIVER, SHRUG, SHUDDER, SIGH, SMILE, SMIRK, SNARL, SNEEZE, SNICKER, WAVE, WINK, YAWN Performs a social emote.
