Player Commands
This page lists verified typed commands for Mazes and Monsters players. Command words are not case sensitive.
Many NPC interactions are also available through in-game right-click context menus, so you can use the menu instead of typing those NPC commands manually.
Using Commands
Type conference commands while in conference. Type in-game commands after entering the game world.
Words in brackets show optional or alternate input. Replace names such as NAME, [item], NPCNAME, and SUMMON with the player, item, NPC, or summon you mean.

Combat And Magic
| Command | Purpose | Notes |
|---|---|---|
FIGHT / F | Attacks a target. | You can't attack other players. |
JUMPKICK | Performs a jump kick attack. | You can't attack other players. |
NOCK / LOAD | Prepares a ranged weapon. | |
SHOOT [target] | Nocks your ranged weapon when it is not ready, or fires it at a target when it is nocked. | If the weapon was not nocked, use SHOOT [target] again after nocking to fire. You can't shoot at other players. |
THROW item AT creature | Throws an item at a creature you can see. | The creature must be within 3 hexes. You can't throw things at other players. The item must be in your hand, or on your belt if the item allows it and you have a free hand. |
THROW item [direction] [direction] [direction] | Throws an item you are holding toward a hex up to 3 steps away. | Only the typed command can throw to a hex. Mouse throws only target creatures. Without a direction, the throw targets your own hex. |
CAST / C | Casts a spell. | |
WARM / W | Warms a spell. | To warm at a specific power level, type the power before the spell name. Example: WARM 3 DARKNESS. |
Throwing to a hex is only possible with the typed THROW command. When you throw with the mouse, clicking an empty hex does nothing. To throw to a hex, hold the item in either hand, type part of its name, then add up to three directions. Each direction moves the target one hex, so throw dagger n targets the hex just north of you and throw dagger n n e targets the hex two north and one east. If a wall is in the way or the item can't land on that hex, you see “You can't throw to that location.” and the item stays in your hand. A throw that reaches water stops at the first water hex. Bottles and balls break at the target hex and some release their effect there, so throwing one without a direction uses it on your own hex.
Where the thrown item can come from:
THROW item AT creature: your hands, or your belt if the item allows it. Throwing from your belt needs a free hand.THROW item [direction]: your hands only. To throw a belt item to a hex, take it into your hand first.- Mouse throws: double-click an item on your belt if the item allows it, or a ball, bottle, or figurine in the top row of your sack, then click a creature. You can turn off top-row sack throwing with the
Double-click throws from top sack rowsetting.
The typed command never takes items from your sack.
